When managing a campaign in Outreachly, you might need to adjust the sequence or delete steps. Here’s a clear breakdown of what happens to the campaign flow, especially for prospects already progressing through it.

What Happens When a Step is Deleted?

If you delete a step from your campaign, Outreachly automatically recalculates the remaining steps, renumbering them to maintain a smooth sequence. Here’s how it works:

  • Example: In a 5-step campaign, if you delete Step 1:

    • Step 2 becomes the new Step 1.

    • Step 3 becomes the new Step 2, and so on.

    • The campaign now continues as a 4-step sequence.

Importantly, Outreachly prevents content duplication. Prospects who were mid-campaign will not receive repeated messages. For example, if a prospect has completed Step 3 (now renumbered as Step 2), they’ll move to the next step without revisiting any content.

Prospects Mid-Campaign: Do They Get Repeated Steps?

No, the recalculated steps ensure a seamless experience without duplicating actions. Here’s how Outreachly handles it:

  • Completed Steps Remain Completed: Outreachly recognizes all actions already completed by each prospect, so messages already sent won’t be reissued, even if step numbers change.

  • Future Steps Adjust Automatically: Prospects progress smoothly, moving directly to the appropriate next step in the restructured campaign.

🚀 Success! With Outreachly, your campaigns remain smooth and efficient, even when you make adjustments.
