If you're targeting specific industries on LinkedIn, Sales Navigator gives you powerful tools to refine your search. Here's how to find the right leads—and make sure you’re adding them correctly for use in Outreachly.

Step 1: Use Industry in Lead Search

When using Lead Search, the "Industry" filter shows any industry a prospect has formally worked in.

That includes past roles—so it’s broader than just their current position. Keep that in mind when reviewing results.

💡 Combine the "Industry" filter with other filters like seniority, company headcount, or keywords to get laser-focused results.

Step 2: Save Prospects to a Lead List

Once you’ve found a solid batch of leads, you’ll need to save them to a Lead List before importing them into Outreachly.

Here’s how:

  1. Click the checkbox next to each prospect.

  2. Click “Save to List.”

  3. Create a new list or add to an existing one.

Alternative: Start With Account Search First

Sometimes, you’ll want to start at the account level—especially if you’re targeting by company industry- then work down to the right contacts.

To do this:

  1. Use the "Account" search tab and filter by industry.

  2. Save accounts to an Account List.

  3. Then, go into each account and pull leads from there.

🚀 Success! Following these tips, your search is now industry-focused.
